I am thirsty for the roadside gol gappe and faluda kulfi,
I am thirsty for mom’s roti sabzi,
I am thirsty for dad’s advice,
I am thirsty for bro’s fight,
I am thirsty for friend’s teasing,
I am thirsty for love’s pampering,
MOREOVER
I am thirsty for Indian television,
I am thirsty for my cellphone’s ring,
I am thirsty for my daily walk,
I am thirsty for dozing off in class,
I am thirsty for a nights sleep,
I am thirsty for a day off,
I am thirsty for morning newspaper,
TO SUM IT ALL
My insouciant soul is thirsty for a peaceful day off…
